This place is awesome. If you're looking for a good sushi spot. Highly recommended. Always great service and food is amazing!!

Honestly this was the worst sushi I've ever had. The place smells like a nursing home and the Chardonnay wine tasted spoiled. I got the spicy tuna with asparagus and there was barely any asparagus.

Not sure why this place has good reviews I was one of three tables in there.

    The servers were nice though.

My family and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night.
We have been here before, but a very long time ago. The reason we never came back was because their sushi rolls were just mediocre and their teriyaki chicken was clearly not grilled compare to other restaurants. Their chicken always just seemed like it was boiled and then just seared on a pan for a few seconds. You can tell by the color of the chicken, it was boiled.

We arrive at the restaurant and we were seated right away. The first thing we noticed when we sat down was that we were seated next to this guy who was talking extremely loud. Not just loud but he was very egotistical, stuck up, and condescending towards the person he was having dinner with. The whole time, he was literally 'mensplaining' and complaining to his friend about how he was inferior to everyone else at his job (he was loud enough that I could hear he was a chef at Google. Big whoop.) and that he deserved a raise.

I know that I can't let the situation ruin my dinner, but it honestly ruined my dinner and my family's dinner as well. And I could see other customers looking at him in disgust. So I'm glad I wasn't the only one disgusted by this other customer.

My mom ordered a roll, my brother ordered a roll, and my dad ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl. We noticed that their roll menu wasn't as large as other places. Not many options to choose from. Other than that, our rolls were not amazing.

Our concern was the teriyaki chicken. And just as we suspected, it was the same. Looks like it was boiled and then seared for a few seconds.

The service was really nice, but we were not exactly happy with our food. So I think it is safe to say that we are not coming back.

So, I took my aunt and her caregiver out to lunch last week at this place, mainly due to its convenient location near my aunts assisted living facility.  My main question is this;  WHY do Japanese people not own/operate Japanese restaurants any more?  It seems that EVERY Japanese eatery is owned/operated by Koreans.  I LOVE Korean food, by the way...especially the more hard to find, 'exotic' dishes.  My aunt is Japanese, from Japan, and I am 'hafu-jin' (half Japanese, also born in Japan), and all but the rarest of cases, Koreans are behind the sushi bar, and having little actual knowledge, they miss the basics of sushi-ya.
So, we ordered the bento boxes, and for the price, it was somewhat less that satisfying.  Almost always, as that day, the order is wrong, the fish is overcooked, as is the chicken, and the tempura is cooked in oil thats too cold, making it just 'fried stuff', not tempura. If one orders a bento box at an ACTUAL Japanese restaurant, that box will generally have at least 6 items, or more.  At this place, those extra divisions in the box are covered with an excess of salad, a tablespoon of rice, and the entrees.
The primary issue here is that Americans have no idea what REAL sushi or ACTUAL Japanese food is like...much like Chinese places that do not serve ACTUAL Chinese food.
At 3-stars, I think I may be too kind.

I had low expectation when I was in Katana due to the review, but it was great and yummy actually. Especially sahimi, the quality of fish is good and fresh. Overall, food is great and service is friendly.
